Shakespeare From the Ground theater ensemble is excited to announces the start of our Summer Production Cycle of 2022. In Shakespeare's 'Much Ado About Nothing', Benedick and Beatrice don't love each other but then they do. Claudio and Hero love each other but then they don't but then they do again. And then, Everyone gets married. We are incredibly excited to continue out partnership with Ecker's Apple Farm in Trempealeau, WI, for this production premiere and announce new partnerships with OAK, La Crosse Parks, Rec and Forestry, and Elmaro Vineyard, who will also be hosting performances of this production.

The constable of Messina, in charge of the night watch

A young count from the city of Florence (he has an uncle in Messina) who is a companion to Don Pedro and has played a heroic part in the fight against Don John

Benedick
Another soldier in Don Pedro's company, not a count like Claudio, but referred to respectfully as "signor." Benedick enjoyed the company of Beatrice at some earlier time but went away without any commitment

Leonata/Leonato
Governor of Messina, a city in Renaissance Italy. Most of the play takes place in and around Leonato's home and estate

The Event Coordinator, in charge of all the things that are a part of the event, but not a part of the play
